Mark Malloy

Position: Vice-Chair
Term: 2020-2024
Mark Malloy, Board of Directors

Mark Malloy and his wife Kathleen moved to Camarillo with their two sons in 1982. He was active in Camarillo adult and youth sports beginning in 1984, having served on the Board of Directors of AYSO Region 68 and the Camarillo Pony Baseball Association.

As Mark became more involved at the organizational level, he realized how important it was for the youth sports programs to partner effectively with PVRPD and the Pleasant Valley School District to provide the facilities and sports fields the youth programs use.

In 1997, he organized the local sports programs to support the successful passage of PVSD's Bond Measure “T” which generated $49 million for renovations to school facilities.  In 2000, he chaired a citizen’s committee formed to support successful approval of PVRPD’s assessment measure.  The added revenue created by the passage of the measure funds the construction and ongoing maintenance of the 55-acre PV Fields sports park.

Director Malloy was appointed to the board in June 2006, was elected by voters in November 2006, and currently is the senior member of the board.  He was elected to four-year terms in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. In 2021 he is serving his fourth term as Board Chair.

Director Malloy is a member of the Ventura County Special District Association, serving as Treasurer in 2019-2020.

Mark graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a major in Communications and a minor in Business Administration. He is semi-retired from a career in sales & marketing management.

Mark and his wife Kathleen will celebrate 44 years of marriage in February 2021. They reside in Camarillo Springs.
