Bev Dransfeldt is a first-generation immigrant who grew up in a small Central Valley town. Camarillo became her second home in college and fell in love with it so much she made it her permanent home a decade ago with her husband, Cory. Bev is a devoted mother to Pazita and Theodore, 3 rescue pups, and a guinea pig named Moo Moo.

A graduate in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley — the first of her family to graduate from a four-year university – Bev holds a diverse background in the music industry from concert promotion, music & tour marketing to artist relations/management.

After working for Capitol Records and moving to Camarillo she transitioned into the public sector, mixing her passion for the arts and public service by working in the Cultural Affairs Department for the City of Thousand Oaks. She later became a Recreation Specialist for Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District before being elected at-large to the Board in 2020. In 2024, Director Dransfeldt was re-elected (now serving District 3).

Growing up on a farm, Bev joined her mother as she worked in the fields and cleaned homes, an experience that shaped her deep appreciation for hard work, community, and opportunity. Grateful for her journey, she is committed to giving back by advocating for those without a voice and remaining civically engaged in the community.
