Capital Improvement Plan
Each year the District adopts a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) as part of the annual budget.
A Strategic Plan is adopted by the Board of Directors. after seeking input from community groups, the public, agencies throughout Camarillo and Ventura County and staff. The final document reflects the best methods to meet the growing needs of the community over the next five years.
Senior and Community Recreation Facility Needs Study
Thank you to all who participated in the information gathering phase of Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District Senior and Community Recreation Facility Needs Study. On September 6, 2018 the Board of Directors of the District accepted the findings and recommendations of the study written by Greenplay, LLC. The District and City are currently in Phase 2 of this project and have published a Request for Proposals for the Design of the proposed Senior and Community Recreation Facility. The RFP can be found in the document list below.
The District is continuing to work with the City Council on making progress toward a Senior and Community Recreation Facility that meets the needs of all. Further updates will be posted to this page so please check back in. For reference, the below documents will be maintained on this page for historical purposes during the project. Community Workshop #1

Provide input for conceptual designs and feasibility study for the Senior Center / Community Center project. We want your input! What do you want to see in a new Community & Senior Center? Come to the workshop and share your ideas.
Community Workshop #2
Thursday, June 6, 6:30-9pm
Senior Center, 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo
LPA will present the information provided in workshop #1 with additional detail, refinement and highlights. Based on feedback provided by District staff, and the Liaison committee, the preliminary project concepts will be presented, and the community will be provided an opportunity to review and comment.
Final Design Presentation
Monday, September 16, 6pm
City Hall, 601 Carmen, Camarillo
The public is invited to attend the Senior and Community Recreation Facility Final Design Presentation Joint Meeting with District Board and City Council. LPA was hired to oversee the project and will present the final two designs for the District Board and City Council to consider.
